Orca Agate Puffy Heart, Flame and Sphere Set from Madagascar

This posting is for an Orca Agate Puffy Heart, Flame and Sphere set.  Orca Agate, also known as Orca Stone, is a Chalcedony variety that is only found in Madagascar and crystallizes in mass formation. This stone has unique colors of grey and blue banding with white spots, mimicking the patterns and colors of an Orca Whale (hence its naming). 

In the later part of the 2010s Orca Agate began to appear at international gem shows all around the world. It was fascinating to customers and the crystal community as a whole due to its unique appearance and interesting pattern. This popularity was in part due to the wide variety of shapes and sizes available of this newly discovered crystal. Madagascar craftspeople are unlike any other, crafting unique shapes like flames and twists not regularly available on the market. The color, demand, and accessibility of this stone made it an instant hit that is still extremely popular today (2022).
