Geological Formation
Ocean Jasper is a rare variety of silicified rhyolite (jasper) formed through volcanic activity. Its orbicular (circular) patterns arise from radial crystallization of silica-rich fluids within gas cavities of volcanic rock. This unique process creates the stone’s signature orbs and multicolored swirls.

Locality
Ocean Jasper is found exclusively in Madagascar, mined along the northwest coast near the Marovato region. It is a limited resource, as deposits are only accessible at low tide, making each specimen increasingly precious.
