These Bloodshot Iolite towers are a rare and evocative specimens, showcasing deep indigo-violet hues laced with hematite inclusions—those “bloodshot” flecks that shimmer like ancient embers. Formed in metamorphic environments rich in aluminum and magnesium, Iolite (also known as Cordierite) is pleochroic, meaning it shifts color depending on the angle, an optical dance between twilight blue, honey gold, and stormy gray.
